Paxos and Anti Paxos |

PAXOS is one of the smallest Ionian Islands, located just off the West coast of Greece, it is situated about 20 miles south of the island of Corfu. Paxos's Mediterranean climate, along with its clean beaches makes it a sought after destination for travelers. Dominated by olive trees, the island is very green compared to other Greek islands . The island is very green compared to other Greek islands Gaios, is the main 'town' on the island, although it is more like a large village. The many bars and cafes are ideal for watching the world go by, and the boats sail in and out of the small port. Lakka, like Loggos is a former fishing village, and is a popular mooring for the many yachts that frequent the waters, due to its natural basin. ANTI PAXOS The neighbouring island of Anti Paxos is only 3 miles south of Paxos. The sea surrounding Anti Paxos is famously clear blue, with 2 sandy beaches which make for some of the best swimming in the Ionian. There are beach tavernas on each beach for refreshment and lunch. Anti Paxos is covered in vineyards. The 100 inhabitants of the island are proud of their local wine, which can be bought in some stores in Paxos. A day out in Anti Paxos is definitely recommended during your stay! It is one of the most relaxing ways to spend a day in Paxos. Boats for Anti Paxos leave from Loggos, Gaios and Lakka.
